Vatac globe valves are offered in both Straight Through and Angle Pattens, Optional SDNR Structure. These items are typically used for the commercial and industrial services of hot and cold water, HVAC, steam, gas and other utilities. A globe valve is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable disk-type element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body. Globe Valves are named for their spherical body shape with the two halves of the body being separated by an internal baffle. This has an opening that forms a seat onto which a movable plug can be screwed in to close (or shut) the valve. The plug is also called a disc. In globe valves, the plug is connected to a stem which is operated by screw action in manual valves. Typically, automated valves use sliding stems. Automated globe valves have a smooth stem rather than threaded and are opened and closed by an actuator assembly. When a globe valve is manually operated, the stem is turned by a hand wheel. Globe valves are used for applications requiring throttling and frequent operation. For example, globe valves or valves with a similar mechanism may be used as sampling valves, which are normally shut except when liquid samples are being taken. Since the baffle restricts flow, they're not recommended where full, unobstructed flow is required.
Vatac Cast Iron Globe Valves are designed and manufactured strictly to International Standards DIN 3202, BS 5150, ASME B16.34, JIS JIS B2062 & KS B2332, Featured with compact structure & Tight shut off service.

STANDARD FEATURES OF VATAC STEEL GLOBE VALVES ● LOW FUGITIVE EMISSION SERVICE
Vatac standard Cast Iron Globe Valves are designed and manufactured to ensure low leakage to international standards, Extensive base line laboratory testing (static and cycle testing) has been performed establishing critical design parameters necessary to achieve low emission sealing in the Vatac stem packing seal area and in the bonnet gasket sealing area, In-house testing procedure has been developed and is periodically performed to ensure that standard product design and manufacturing criteria consistently result in the Vatac cast iron globe Valve meeting a maximum of leakage prior to shipment.
