Vatac Metal Seated Gate Valves are with compact design to most updated int'l standards of DIN 3202, AWWA, AS or ASME. Suitable for use with drinking water and waste water in above-ground and under-ground applications.
Vatac Cast or Ductile Iron Metal Seated Gate Valves are with Bronze Trim. The rising stem wedge gate meets MSS-SP70 speciications. Valves are designed to be either in a fully open or fully closed position. Throttling is not recommended. Providing full low in the completely open position, a minimum pressure drop occurs. When throttling is required, a globe valve is preferred with a sacriice of pressure drop. The positive guiding motion of the Vatac Metal Seated Gate Valve allows the valve to be installed in any position in a pipeline, but it is suggested to install in the vertical position if possible.
The usage of Vatac Gate Valves is limitless in commercial and industrial applications of water, steam, gases and general piping. Cast Iron Gate Valves are not recommended for applications of slurry or abrasive service.
VATAC METAL SEATED GATE VALVE DESIGNING FEATURES:
● BODY-BONNET: Cast or ductile iron body and bonnet for high strength and impact resistance
● GATE: Solid gunmetal gates for sizes below and included DN200, ductile iron fusion bonded gate with gunmetal rings for larger sizes
● SHAFT: Grade 431 stainless steel shaft for high strength and corrosion resistance
● SEAL: Gunmetal dezincinfication resistant top casting incorporating double o-ring seals and wiper ring for long life operation, more over, backseat facility for allow for replacement of seals under under full operating pressure
● COATING: Thermally fusion bonded epoxy coating internally and externally for long life corrossion protection
● THRUST WASHER: Anti-friction thrust washer provids with low operation torque, Isolated fastners for corrossion protection, integral lifting lugs for storage, transportation and installation convenience.
